The Byron City Attorney provides legal services to the Mayor, City Council, and the various operating departments on all legal matters affecting the City. The City Attorney serves in an advisory capacity by providing legal guidance concerning federal, state, and local laws as they pertain to the conduct of City business. The City Attorney also provides legal guidance for the development of new programs and procedures for new ordinances and amendments. Additionally, the City Attorney's office prosecutes all infractions and misdemeanors under City ordinances or state law.
